{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}
......continued from part X
I had a plan to bring my loving wife to Bangkok for a short (two days) tours in the very near future and intended to bring her to see as many as possible attractions in Bangkok in a limited time, so I had to get familiar with the shortest & most convenient roads in a short day trip.
On 15th September 2015, I started my trip by Bangkok's most famous river boat tour at Saphan Taksin pier (jetty). Saphan Taksin pier is the starting point for Chao Phraya tourist boat, and it goes all the way north up to Phra Athit (Banglamphu), with several stop-by piers in between.

That was Tuesday, an usual working day for Thais. The queue was a bit long although it was not a public holiday, passengers were mostly tourist and whatnot with Thais wearing smart office-look dressed-up, and together with a few students. So, it was considered normal to wait for 2 turns of boat arrived then only I able to hop onto the marvelous boat.

And there was a Chinese restaurant at the riverfront of Chao Phraya river.

I was fortunate enough to have a gentle woman (probably a Thais tour-guide) who spoke fluently English on the boat. She spoke clearly with a bullhorn (大声公扩音器)
to the whole boat about detail & useful information on each pier the boat stopped, each building pass-by with historical info, and even guides on roads or areas connected with each pier. A big thumb for her.

If tourists want to go to Wat Arun which is located opposite across the other side of the river, they could do their transit either here at Tha Tien pier or Maharaj pier. The cross river boat to Wat Arun only cost about 3 TB. (yes, 30 Malaysia cents only)
