travel to Siem Reap Cambodia from Malaysia by train ..part XVI

{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}

......continued from part XV

After some relaxing moment in my first hotel in Siem Reap, in the evening I intended to head out to 'cari-makan' (
Malay word - looking for food ). There was a tut-tut waiting outside the main road of the hotel. The driver was lying his lazy body on top of the tut-tut, with playing "Pokemon" ( haha! kidding ? Pokemon in 2015 ? ). No lah! What I mean is "bending-down our forehead" & looking on smartphone has became global culture in this decade.

I approached the driver and had some simple chat. Then I asked him the tut-tut charge going to Pub Street (from Bayon Boutique Hotel). The fee was around USD 1 or 2 only (forgot the exact amount).

And he drove me to the entrance point of the Pub Street area in Siem Reap. Just a 5 minutes ride.

The famous Pub Street in Siem Reap is an area besides full with pubs, it also contains lots of restaurants & street vendors alike night market.

Another lone ranger's experience in a fascinating drinking & relaxing environment in another foreign country 。。。Wow, you have to try it ~

travel to Bangkok->Siem Reap from Malaysia by train ..part IX

{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}

......continued from part VIII

After experienced the fast & furious drifting driving style of the tut-tut car, I reached Silom, Bangkok safely.

Silom is one of Bangkok's most important financial districts with so many bank headquarters & financial institutions. During working hours, you will see a lot of office buildings along main roads with sharply dressed folks, and off course many OL (office lady) in the daytime.
Once the sun sets, you’ll be amazed by changes of this downtown. Market traders, food hawkers & ‘servicing’ girls will turn the whole area into lively beat of streets. A few small lanes across the main road’s junction will be lived up by crowded pubs, bars, nightclubs & restaurants. Whatnot, Bangkok is so famous with its red-light nightlife.

Let me bring up 3 videos posted by some other tourists in Youtube to best describe this fascinating downtown. I didn't take a lot photos in this area..ya la... watching OL passing through front sight consumed the most of time. Shssss~!

The changing nature of Silom is fascinating to experience and for that reason tourists are encouraged to do a little exploring by own here. Plus, there is a Bangkok’s biggest downtown park at one end and the mighty Chao Phraya River at the other so you can escape the urban jungle if the sight of concrete and cars gets too much given pressure & tension in life.

While I was too alone to slump into any of 'special' bar in the streets, I just tasting few glasses of Thais draft beer in an Irish Pub.

The Thailand Sim Card I bought in 7-11 at Pratunam earlier was start working now. It costs 299TB (equivalent ~RM37, year 2015 Rawang money-changer's rate @0.123), considering a bit expansive compared to prepaid sim card package sold in Malaysia, where you can easily get it at RM8 or RM10.
