Bangkok to Siem Reap Cambodia without flying ..part XXX

{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}

(September 20, 2015)

(Previously in part XXIX or episode 29)

By the time I was paying the only cloth which I want to bring home for my mother, I looked at the face of my lovely wife's 。。。scared she would shown her jealousy look, dude. Yup! It's expensive, (equivalent RM500), considering I'd never bought any clothes for any price more than RM100 :)

Part XXX (or episode 30, Wow 30, not finale yet)

There you see, women are easy-jealousy creature :)p After I paid that sum of (approx) 500MYR to cashier, thing changed ... face changed ...
Nevertheless, we still continue our trip ... next: to visit another Khmer cultural workshop - Senteurs d’Angkor .
see the tot-tot face :(

" Senteurs d’Angkor prides itself on sourcing all of its raw materials in Cambodia, from raw ingredients to packaging materials, which is not easy task. In line with their philosophy of ‘home-sourcing’, most of their packaging comes from the sugar palm tree, an abundant, natural and recyclable resource in Cambodia..

This philosophy ensures that jobs and incomes stay within Cambodia, helping to address the country’s poverty and reduce dependence on imports. They use the finest raw ingredients sourced from all over the country.

Senteurs d’Angkor employs hundred over workers and provide regular work to another 100 people, mostly women from the rural area, 10% of the workshop workers are handicapped, and all workers benefit from good working conditions (in term of salary, profit-sharing, insurance, working environment…) "

On the way back to hotel in the late afternoon 。。。
still a 'tot-tot' face, (only while with me & shown to me)

After showered, we head-out for a 'very-special' dinner.

Bangkok to Siem Reap Cambodia without flying ..part XXIX

{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}

(September 20, 2015)

After an exhausted Angkor Wat trip a day before, I arranged a day break to bring my lovely wife see other attraction in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

While we're traveling to other country we have great chances to know a different culture.
Cambodia has its unique, stunning and fascinating art of carvings, being reflected by its symbolic heritage buildings - Angkor Wat. To know more about the nation arts & crafts, we visited one of its renowned silk-making workshop, the Silk Farm operated by the Artisans Angkor.

The dyeing or colouring process uses natural plants & flowers as its ingredients. A thumb-up for this.

This superb Silk Farm is the perfect place to buy high quality silk scarves, clothing, bags, accessories and original home decoration. The showroom offers more than 500 colorful products which were handmade in Artisans Angkor workshops.

I think I'd never bought any fine fabric cloth for my mother before. So I decided to buy one for her.

"Artisans Angkor has developed from the ambitious belief that it is possible to revive ancient Khmer Arts & Crafts while improving the lives of thousands of people living in rural areas. Its 1300 employees are proud to show that Cambodian handicraft is still alive and more creative than ever.

By developing high quality products that express the dynamism of the Khmer culture, Artisans Angkor strives to be a timeless showcase for Cambodian crafts with pieces inspired by Angkor heritage as well as fashionable handmade clothing and decorative items that can suit contemporary lifestyles.

Not only has Artisans Angkor become a company dedicated to the preservation of traditional Khmer skills in silk-making, stone and wood carving, lacquering and painting, but it is also an organization committed to promote the development of individuals and secure their future by the means of education and welfare."

travel to Siem Reap from Bangkok without flying ..part XXVIII

{Lone Ranger Finding His Loving Wife}

(September 19, 2015)

We finished our first day trip at Angkor Wat in the late afternoon.
That was a really exhausted day, with feeling the sun heat was stronger than usual.

After we showered and refreshed ourselves in hotel, we headed out for dinner.

(September 20, 2015)

We had a very good sleep after a truly exhausted day.

We're having our breakfast inside the hotel, next to a pool, with birds tweet surrounding the area.

French style breakfast @ Landing Point Villa
My lovely wife just love the environment and great for her to have a French-style breakfast next to swimming pool. She even blog about this (HERE) in our previous post.
Despite the lovely twitter and environment surrounding, with her favorite style of hotel-breakfast, her look pretty much tired after an exhausted Angkor Wat trip a day before.
tired tiring look

However, we had planned for a few tour today. Silk farm, homemade fragrance workshop, Khmer classical Apsara dance and etc..
